Summary
Our clients, a lovely, down-to-earth couple with a residence in Derbyshire, are looking for a live-in Housekeeper/Cook to assist with the smooth running of their residence on an ongoing temporary basis through lockdown. The lady of the house is awaiting heart surgery and the gentleman has been diagnosed with Parkinsons – both are still independent so no ‘care’ is required, they just require a helping hand with the housekeeping duties and preparation of meals. Duties will include standard housework, cleaning/organising, laundry, changing bed linen as well as cooking simple but tasty lunches and dinners (nothing complicated). The candidate will need to be happy to join this couple’s bubble and, therefore, a negative Covid test or isolation period will need to be carried out prior to starting work. A day off will be given but due to the vulnerability of the couple you would not be permitted to socialise outside of the bubble – as per the government guidelines. There will also be downtime throughout the day when all day-to-day tasks are completed. A driver is required for running errands but a car will be provided. Accommodation: own bedroom and bathroom on the top floor of the residence. Salary - £100 gross per day, meals provided also.
