“Villa Recruit has been on the cards for a while.  With the success of our sister company Yotspot, where superyacht captains, agents and owners advertise jobs and meet thousands of potential crew, it was the natural progression to create a similar shore-based platform. To mirror the Yotspot offering but with access to relevant courses and qualifications like butler, fine dining and catering, nanny, childcare and education even private security.  Superyacht crew often make the transition to shore based roles, whether through their existing boat owner or a lucky connection, but we wanted to open things up, make it much more accessible for crew as a whole, not only to see the variation of shore-based opportunities available but to make applying for jobs simpler too.”

“Villa Recruit makes it easy for recruiters to advertise jobs and connect with potential household staff, no matter which area of household service they’re interested in.  Might be front of house, household service, hospitality, exterior, security, childcare or estate management.  And individuals will be able to build and upload their personal profiles, access training and qualifications required to progress in their career too. It’s a win/win!”

Superyacht crew often make the transition from superyacht to private houses and estates, sometimes ending up working for the same family.  They already appreciate how the owners like their yachts to be run, the need for diplomacy and the highest standard of service, so the household is just the next step.

“There’s so much crossover in this sector, because superyacht crew have been trained to work in a certain way it makes them perfect candidates for shore-based private household positions, they understand the need to deliver excellent standards of service as well as the need for absolute discretion, never mind the diverse range of jobs available to crew wanting to transition back to shore.”

“We’ve been placing fabulous crew for over a decade and have worked hard to ensure the crew we place and the jobs we advertise are the most sought after in the world. The same applies for shore-based roles.  The guys and girls out there know exactly what’s expected of them, in order to maintain the high standards this industry expects, it’s hard work but rewarding in equal measure.”

Villa Recruit gives you access to a whole host of private household vacancies worldwide, split down by the following departments; service, maintenance, security, estate management, transport and childcare.  Candidates can create a profile, outline experience, upload qualifications and certificates, sift through training opportunities and apply there and then.
